UB40 are an English reggae and pop band, formed in December 1978 in Birmingham.
The band’s line-up remained the same until frontman Ali Campbell left the band in 2008 who was then followed by keyboardist Mickey Virtue and vocalist Astro. The remaining co-founding members drummer Jimmy Brown, guitarist Robin Campbell, bassist Earl Falconer, percussionist Norman Hassan, and saxophonist Brian Travers, were joined by new vocalist Duncan Campbell. Both Astro and Brian Travers have since died and Duncan Campbell has been replaced by Matt Doyle.
Present Arms is the second album by UB40 and was released in 1981. It contained the top 20 hits ‘One In Ten’ and ‘Don’t Let It Pass You By/Don’t Slow Down’.
