Malcolm John Rebennack, Jr. (November 20, 1941 – June 6, 2019), better known by his stage name Dr. John, was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. His music combined New Orleans blues, jazz, R&B, soul and funk.
In the Right Place is a 1973 album by New Orleans R&B artist Dr. John. The album was originally released on Atco Records and became the biggest selling album of Dr. John’s career. The song “Such a Night” was also performed as part of The Band’s The Last Waltz concert, made famous by Martin Scorsese’s film. The song also appears in the music video of 3000 Miles to Graceland. The song “Right Place Wrong Time” was recently featured in an episode of American Horror Story: Coven.
