All UK parcels are sent by Royal Mail UK First or Second Class post. A Certificate of Posting will be obtained for each item and you have the option of Recorded Delivery. For orders totalling over £20 Recorded Delivery will automatically be charged. This service is tracked, insured and signed for.
All overseas parcels are sent by Royal Mail Airmail Small Packet. A Certificate of Posting will be obtained for each item and you have the option of International Signed For. For orders totalling over £20 International Signed For will automatically be charged. This service is tracked, insured and signed for.
Royal Mail overseas packages are a maximum weight of 2kg (approximately 6 records). For larger orders weighing over 2kg, we will either send in separate packages or we may use a courier service such as UPS or Fedex. If this service proves cheaper than the postage paid by you, we will, at our discretion, refund any postage overpayment made. In the case of exceptionally heavy or bulky items such as Box Sets, our standard charges may not apply and we will inform you of postage costs on the item description page.
We accept payments with most major credit and debit cards. If you wish to make a payment in cash, this is acceptable, but please send cash by Recorded Delivery for security. We also accept Paypal. If you wish to use Paypal as a payment method, please contact VMM and we will send you a Paypal invoice.
All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will be added to the price of the products when added to the shopping cart. Our postage prices are based on weight, so if you buy multiple items in one order, the price is calculated for the entire parcel, rather than just by adding one postage cost to another. This saves you money. As postage charges are based on weight, a double LP, for example, will count as two LPs and a triple LP as three LPs.
The postage quoted at checkout is calculated on an accumulating scale and is only a guideline as to the actual postage costs. If when posting the records the postage is significantly cheaper, we will refund your excess postage costs to your credit card the same day.
With large batches of records it is often more economical to send the records by courier. If you have overpaid postage and I use an alternative service to Royal Mail, I will, the same day refund the overpayment of postage.
For example, 20 records to France will cost £75.30 by Royal Mail Signed For, but by courier it will be in the region of £24. and for 20 records to USA, the Royal Mail cost will be £118.95, but I can send them by courier for approximately £50. Unfortunately, there are no courier services from the UK to Russia at present, so the quoted prices are an accurate guideline. However, if the price of the parcel is significantly cheaper, I will, of course, give a same day refund of the overpayment.
If you wish to purchase a large amount of records, do not worry if the amount quoted seems high. Instead, please send me your list and I will be able to give you an exact quote as to how much the actual postage will be.
Items ordered from us for delivery outside the EU may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.
We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days of receipt of a cleared payment. We are unable to guarantee specific delivery times for parcels as there are too many variables within the postage system which may cause delay along the way including random inspection by customs officials, postal disputes and holidays, mis-direction, remote area delivery difficulties and bad weather conditions. However, the vast majority of parcels arrive within 3 days for the UK, 3 weeks for Europe and up to 4 weeks for the rest of the world. Items will only be considered lost / undelivered after 14 days from posting for the UK or a calendar month for overseas.
Please do not become anxious should a parcel take longer to arrive than expected. In the majority of cases these items are often being safely held at your local post office/depot after a failed initial delivery. Please make this your first port of call if you have not received your package. In cases of undelivered packages the Post Office will generally return them to us, although this can take several months. By placing an order you are confirming acceptance of these maximum delivery times. (UK 14 days, EU 21 days and rest of world 31 days.)
Please note that if a parcel is returned to us undelivered due to incorrect address details given by you at the time of ordering or non-collection by you from your postal depot, we reserve the right to request payment for sending it to you again.
