Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in Bolton, England in 1976 by singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete Shelley and singer-songwriter Howard Devoto. They were later joined by Steve Diggle on guitar and vocals, Steve Garvey on bass guitar and John Maher on drums.
A Different Kind of Tension is the third studio album by English pop punk band Buzzcocks. It was released in September 1979, through United Artists Records. It charted at number 26 in the United Kingdom and number 163 in the United States.
