Deep Purple are an English rock band 1968. The band has several line-up changes.
Their most famous line-up was Mark II and the members were Ian Gillan (vocals), Jon Lord (keyboards, backing vocals), Roger Glover (bass), Ian Paice (drums), and Ritchie Blackmore (guitar). Former and later members were Rod Evans (lead vocals) and Nick Simper (bass, backing vocals), David Coverdale (lead vocals), Glenn Hughes (bass, vocals), Tommy Bolin (guitar), Joe Lynn Turner (vocals), Steve Morse (guitar) and Don Airey (keyboards).
