(there are some surface marks visible on the vinyl which do give light pops/crackles but sound quality is excellent overall – at very start of side 2 there are 2 clicks on the intro to Loving You & a light click in Ain’t No Love)
Jennifer Lara is a singer born in 1953, died 11th June 2005 at the Kingston Public Hospital, Jamaica from a stroke. Lara was a cousin of The Tamlins member Derrick Lara. She was first taken into the recording studio in 1969 by keyboardist Richard Ace, a Studio One session musician there. She added backing vocals to the songs of some of Studio One’s biggest names, including Delroy Wilson, Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown and Sugar Minott. Her first own record was released during the 1970s.
