John Hart was a Tenor saxophonist, born in Shreveport Louisiana; died December 26, 2003 in Opelousas, Louisiana. He left Chenier’s Red Hot Louisiana Band in 1978, and was replaced by C.J. Chenier. Co-founded Lynn August & The Hot August Knights together with Lynn August in 1988. He also played with Little Bob & The Lollipops and Rockin’ Dopsie.
“The Blowin’ Man” is a 1981 funk soul blues album recorded by US Tenor saxophonist John Hart accompanied by Rocking Dopsie and The Twisters.
