Peter Brian Gabriel (born 13 February 1950) is an English singer-songwriter, musician, songwriter, record producer and humanitarian who rose to fame as the original lead singer and flautist of the progressive rock band Genesis. Gabriel left Genesis in 1975, and then began a solo career with “Solsbury Hill” as his first single.
Birdy is the first soundtrack and sixth album overall by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel, for the movie of the same name, released in 1985. The album was made with producer Daniel Lanois.
