Sade are an English band formed in London in 1982. Sade Adu is the lead singer of the eponymous band.

Helen Folasade Adu, OBE; born 16 January 1959), known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade, is a Nigerian-born English singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, and record producer.

Promise is the second studio album by English group Sade. It was released in the United Kingdom on 16 November 1985 by Epic Records and in the United States on 21 December 1985 by Portrait Records.
