The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976. The band has experienced several line-up changes, with vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith being the only constant member. Other members have been Lol Tolhurst drums and keyboards, Simon Gallup bass guitar, Reeves Gabrels guitar, Michael Dempsey bass guitar, Porl Thompson guitar, Perry Bamonte guitar and Phil Thornalley bass guitar.
Three Imaginary Boys is the debut studio album by English rock band The Cure, who were at that time a three-piece band. It was released on 8 May 1979 by record label Fiction. It was later released in the United States and Australia with a different song line-up as Boys Don’t Cry.
