The Style Council were an English band, formed in Woking in 1983 by Paul Weller, the former singer and guitarist with The Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot, previously a member of Dexys Midnight Runners and The Merton Parkas. The permanent line-up grew to include drummer Steve White and Weller’s then-wife, vocalist Dee C. Lee. Other artists such as Tracie Young and Tracey Thorn (Everything but the Girl) also collaborated with the group.
Come to Milton Keynes is a single released by the English band the Style Council in 1985. It was the second single from the band’s second studio album, Our Favourite Shop, and charted at No. 23 in the UK Singles Chart and No. 14 on the Irish Singles Chart.
