Anthony Terrell Smith (born March 3, 1966), better known by his stage name Tone Lōc, is an American rapper, actor, voice actor, and producer. He is known for his raspy voice, his hit songs “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina”, for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award, and for being featured in “We’re All in the Same Gang”, a collaborative single by the West Coast Rap All-Stars.

Lōc-ed After Dark is the debut album by rapper, Tone Lōc. The album was released in 1989 for Delicious Vinyl Records and was a huge success, making it to #1 on the Billboard 200 in the week of the 15th of april and #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop album charts. It featured three hit singles — “Wild Thing”, “Funky Cold Medina”, and “I Got It Goin’ On” — and was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA.

Lōc-ed After Dark’s album cover is based on Donald Byrd’s 1963 record, A New Perspective.
